The history of the Health Management department in Turkey dates back to the 1960s. The first education in Health Administration was initiated in 1963 at the Health Administration College, which was affiliated with the Vocational Training General Directorate of the Ministry of Health. In 1970, the Hospital Administration College was established at Hacettepe University, which provided postgraduate education until 1975. At that time, the program's name was changed to the Health Administration College, and this college, which provided education between 1975 and 1982, was merged with Hacettepe University in 1982 and continued its education there.
